Is GURU DUTT really the most under rated director of all time??
specially wen it comes to a country like india??
in a country where movies are equivalent 2 all the flamboyance,colours,larger than life characters and over the rop performances....guru dutt gets our pulse racing through meaningful, heart touching, and sensitive stuff.. Rated as one og the finest directors ever + his masterpiece pyaasa rated as among the 10 best movies of the century, y do v call bollywood still the biggest colorful and meaningless extravagance present on celluloid the world over???
Well, he decided never to switch over to colour movies & still the black & white celluloid sparkled with the best forms of essential colors of romance, comedy and the best drama ever seen........as simple as that......recognition and appreciation eluded this legend as the best appreciation to his work came after his death when people gave recognition to pyaasa & kaagaz k phool amongst other moies.....
However as far as the legend was concerned, kaagaz k phool was his last movy which was greeted with da most aggrevated criticism of that time....limiting his career and giving a full stop to the artistic genius....
